In Which I Adopt

Here is the newest addition to the Badass Geek household:

His name is Liam, and he is a 10-week-old Maine Coon kitten. These are the best pictures I've managed to get so far, as the little bugger won't sit still long enough to get anything more.

Happy Monday, folks.

Congratulations, you poor bastard.

I have not one, but two Maine Coons at home. They are the fluffiest cats I've ever seen. Their tails are bigger than my head and they leave hair EVERYWHERE.

But I hope you and the Boss are happy with Liam. I like the name.

I've wanted a Maine Coon Cat for years, but I've never gotten one. I might have to live vicariously through you. Did you find him at the shelter? BECAUSE THEN I AM GOING TO BE SO JEALOUS.

Daddy Files: I wanted to wait a while before getting another cat, but (obviously) The Boss had other plans.

Scatterbrain: I hope to get some better pictures soon.

Lola: Oh, he already has. I'll have to keep track of everything and pick the best one.

Miss Grace: I do, too. He's too damn cute.

Moonspun: I wanted to name him Gandalf (after Gandalf the Grey from Lord Of The Rings), but The Boss didn't like it so much. He's only 3/4 Coon, so I'm hoping the traits he doesn't have are the shedding of fur and the hugeness.

Aunt Becky: Not at a shelter, no, but we did get him for free. He was born from a purebred Maine Coon mother, and a 50% Coon father.

Just remember how cute he is when he gets the night crazies and is running up and down your hallway at 2am. Not that I am speaking from experience or anything *gives the household cat the evil eye*

I always wanted a Maine Coon since I saw pictures of them in a book at the library when I was a little kid. A lady I knew when I grew up (haha) had one and she accidentally ran over him with her car, twice.

We definitely want more pics as he gets bigger and flooooofier.

I'm not a cat person. Not in the least, but Liam is a bad ass name.

I know that the Maine Coon has some interesting breed distictives, but I have forgotten what they all are, besides the impressive size.

Will you be giving submissions to LOL cats featuring your Liam? :)

Awww he's so cute and adorable and small. Not for long though! Soon he'll be cute and adorable and BIG. Those cats get huge.

Love him.

Cape Cod Gal: The Coons are cute, but don't let that mislead you. Underneath, they are VICIOUS.

Kat: Oh, he already has the crazies. He has spent more time in his crate today than outside of it.

Heather: How does one accidentally run over something twice?

SWAX: Liam is a badass name, but not as much as Gandalf, which was the name that I picked out.

Anonymous: Their hair tends to be very... poofy... and they shed a lot. Something to look forward to, right?

Meg & Colin: I'm hoping he outgrows his hyperness soon. I'm not sure I can handle it for very long.

Sweet! He's awesome. Maine Coons get really fat...I've known two and they were both over 20 pounds.

Actually, I've known three and the third wasn't fat.
