It's not often I have a guest post around these parts, but today I've got a guest post by Lauren Leto. If you don't recognize her name, perhaps you'll recognize the site that she had a major part in building: Texts From Last Night. She's compiled a list of the geekiest texts found on the site just for me.
If you've never heard of TFLN, I seriously suggest you check it out. It's a hilarious site that lists text messages sent in from people around the country (and world) about, usually pertaining to their alcohol or sex-fueled nights of debauchery. It is pure genius, and I'm honored to host Lauren's guest post today.
(Just so you know, the numbers in parenthesis before the text is the area code from where the text was sent. See if there are any from your state!)
Check it out:

The Geekiest TFLN Texts
(compiled especially for The Badass Geek)
by Lauren Leto, moderator at TextsFromLastNight.com, BookNerding.com and MomsMsgs.com)(703): She asked the class if starwars was based on a true story...
(704): I dumped him because he's never seen star wars. I'm certain I did the right thing.
(773): i just spent an hour trying to convince my blind date that star wars is better than star trek. help me
(713): All the good ones are taken. All that's left is the Harry Potter geek or the asshole in the corner. I think I'll settle for Harry Potter.
(408): the star wars geek is hitting on me, and is talking about his lightsaber. need back up NOW
(314): why was he too nerdy?
(919): he was a tetris block for halloween
(520): i nerd-gasmd. plain and simple.
(717): he just asked me if he could show me what he wanted to do to me using his action figures. where do i find these freaks?
(631): But you know it's love when you find brass knuckles in the same box he keeps his Naruto action figures.
(585): So guess who had sex in a Ghostbusters sleeping bag.
(360): I wish i could make my toaster dance like they do in the second ghostbusters. But i dont have ectoplasmic goo. Or a toaster.
(614): If you want her to think you're a true humanitarian, you may want to stop referring to Hands Across America as "the Ghostbusters 2 of fund raisers."

The TFLN site just got book deal, and you can pre-order it by clicking here. Feel free to check out Lauren's other sites (as linked above), too. The Moms Msgs site is similar to TFLN, and is based off of funny or awkward messages sent via text/e-mail/Facebook/etc. from Moms and Dads across the country.
Thanks for the guest post, Lauren!
Happy Monday, folks.

These are awesome. My husband still uses the force on automatic doors.
I wonder what that Ghostbusters sleeping back looked like all crumpled post-sex.
I made the mistake of reading TFLN for the first time while at work...It's REALLY awkward when your boss comes in and say's "What's so funny"...and I had just finished reading "sex on bubble wrap = best decision ever"....
I love TFLN. Sex on bubble wrap is the best decision ever. Have you seen shitmydadsays. That shit is epic
"so guess who just had sex in a ghostbusters sleeping bag" LMAO.
Cheers,
C
Hilarious. Nothing with my area code (thank goodness they didn't find them!)
LoVe TfLn lol :)
I LOVE TFLN. My friends and I post them on each other's Facebook walls just to be funny, lol.
I must be the only one who doesn't care about the minutia of other peoples lives to such a detailed extent. I hate twitter, and I'm not interested in reading other people's text messages. I really think I'm the only one who doesn't "get" this trend.
Ohhh I'm loving this!! Hahahaa!!
I think I just died laughing, then came back to life to laugh some more. Oh God way too funny. Best text ever is the sex in the Ghostbusters sleeping bag with the fundraising one being a close second.
Also, Star Wars is clearly better than Star Trek.
Clearly.
Oh...I'm a BIG fan of Texts! I even have the app on my IPhone! Great for a good laugh! LOL
I love that site -- I crack up every time I read what people posted.
However, from today's post, loving "So guess who had sex in a Ghostbusters sleeping bag".
That's one lucky girl (I'm assuming a guy owned that bag).
Oh those are the bomb.
I've read TFLN. But these geeky ones are awesome!
Bwahahahahaha!
snortsnot!!
HAHAHA...the action figure text was the best.
That is one of my favorite sites in the world! I have wasted many an hour there...
Having sex in a ghostbusters sleeping back has just been added to my bucket list.
hmmmmmm I might be with Aunt Juicebox.
Okay, so it was me having sex in the Ghostbusters sleeping bag. Thanks a lot for outing me ;)
"(919): he was a tetris block for halloween"
For the record: that is awesome.
Also, Star Trek is superior to Star Wars ;).
Thanks for the laughs! That book cover is perfect!
HOLY SHIT!!! YOU KNOW THE CREATOR OF TFLN?????
I'm totally in awe of you badass! By far my fave Iphone app! I get super excited when I see my (337) on there! Also, makes me nastalgic for college.
I am CRAZY IN LOVE with TFLN. So very much in love. You have awesome friends.
I discovered TFLN a few months ago. Absolutely love that site. I've wasted many, many hours there.
When I wake up in the morning, I check TFLN. Usually, it is to see if I recognize any ;]
I am surprised to see a commenter does not get the twitter and TFLN trend. Although, I do not think you can clump these two cites together, I still find it interesting. Twitter is not anonymous, whereas TFLN is. Therefore, I fell, TFLN is not about reading the little details of a particular person's life. It is really about pleasing yourself by getting a good laugh- not stalking another person's life.

--> Just incase there will be an obnoxious response about my mistake in spelling.
