In Which It Sort Of Makes Sense

I was at the store this weekend getting a few essentials (peanut butter, ice cream, and toilet paper) when an end-cap display caught my eye. The particular grocery store I was in prides itself on not participating in any gimmicks in regards to keeping their prices low, and unlike other grocery store chains, they don't require people to have Rewards Cards to get the sale items at the advertised sale price.

That said, I found this end cap display to be a bit amusing:

No card games, they say. Interesting.

Happy Monday, folks.

I guess it depends on your definition of card game...

Uno is not a card game.

It's a box full of family fun.

OH, you should see this sign that is posted at a local elementary school. It's at the end of the bus lane and it reads, "Busses only".

I came close to going into the pricipal's office many times with a dictionary in my hand.

Uno makes asses out of us all, even the grocery stores.

The other day I received a coupon on the mail for a local home decorating goods store. On it in big bold letters it said, "Good for any item!"

Then is small print below it proceeded to list all the items it wasn't good for.

Nice.

Great find. I fucking hate the card game. Oh you bastards. No I don't want your card. You see my wallet? It only has so much room. There is no room at the inn. Wanker.

I love playing UNO. Unless I'm losing, then it's not so much love...as tolerate. :-) :-)

Now, if I may be so bold....and risk looking like a fool....why do their shelves say "No card games"?

1) I love that you called the display an end-cap! I so rarely hear other people use the technical term!

2) This photo is, as you know, AMAZING.
