In Which She's Still Pregnant

Today marks the start of Day Three that The Boss and I have been at the hospital, waiting for the arrival of Baby Badass. We got here on Monday afternoon and started the induction process not too long after we were checked in. Since then, there has been little to no progress.

She's had plenty of contractions (some of them quite painful), and the baby definitely has dropped, but no matter what medication they use to get the ball rolling, her body has yet to dilate more than one centimeter. There was a period of time where one nurse thought she had begun to dilate further, but her doctor later said otherwise.

This experience so far has been a lesson in patience and learning to let things happen how they will. The hospital staff here have been great, and while the combination chair/bed I have to sleep on is akin to sleeping in a coffin, they're doing what they can to make sure I am comfortable, too.

We're hoping for more progress today. Follow my Twitter/Facebook feed for any updates, and with any luck, Baby Badass will make her appearance soon.

I can't imagine how difficult it must be to have to be patient at such an exciting and stressful time. I am so pleased to hear that you have a wonderful medical team to attend to you, this makes all the difference
As uncomfortable as your bed may be, at least you don't have to squeeze something the size of a melon...
Good luck! I hope it's not long now.

Well, all in good time. She'll come out when she's good and damn ready. ;o)
All kidding aside, some babies take there own sweet time and unfortunately all you can do is wait and be patient.
I have 2, but I had scheduled c-sections. No waiting involed (other than waiting until 39 weeks of course), thank God.
Healthy baby, healthy Mommy vibes heading your way!!

My friend induced by tubing down the side of the hill beside her house. I personally would not recommend it. Besides, you'd have to come to Quebec. Much luck, Badass, and hang in there. Stock up in ice chips too. You'll thank me later!

Hope you guys are getting ready to go home soon. Can't wait to see pics of your sweet baby girl!! All my best to ya'll.
